I was pleasantly surprised by the delightfully light and tart citrus of Diamond Jubilee. I generally prefer flavored teas with a strong base, but in this instance the mild black base works very well with the bergamot and grapefruit essence. The citrus notes linger as a crisp aftertaste and I can only imagine this would be even better served as iced tea.
Flavors: Bergamot, Citrusy, Grapefruit, Tart

I’ve always had a soft spot for Earl Grey’s, so it seems fitting an Earl Grey would be my first tasting note on Steepster. I purchased this tea with high expectations but was disappointed with the rather weak flavor. The base is pleasing enough but somewhat bland, perhaps due to the addition of oolong. As for the bergamot, it is too dainty for my preference, though it does leave a pleasant aftertaste. The leaves have a nice aroma, and I give them points for the cute tin, but I won’t purchase this particular Earl Grey again.

Art, Tea, and Druidry
Good riddance 2020. It is an extreme understatement to say that 2020 did not work out as intended. I had big dreams and a multitude of creative endeavors to undertake, but alas, all I could do was tread water.
So, good fucking riddance to all the bullshit of 2020!
For 2021 I am making a slight career change to focus more on creative projects and sharpening my technical skills. Also on the list: a shop to sell my art, jewelry, and excess mineral specimens.
Unfortunately, my health is still questionable. I’ve been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and I am ANA positive. This year we will begin the process all over again of trying to pinpoint exactly which autoimmune disease(s) I have. My rheumatologist has placed me on Methotrexate and we will see if that is effective when I return to her in March.
Time to get to work on all the good things I have planned!
I have a new favorite tea vendor to share: Masters Teas by Adagio
They offer a select range of high-quality teas that are sure to please the discriminating tea palate.
“The intention of Masters Teas is to share the finest, freshest specialty teas direct from the farms where they grow. We invite you to get to know the artisans who tender them and learn their stories. It is not necessary to be a tea connoisseur to enjoy these exceptional productions, as we intend to offer as much information as possible to help you on a journey of tea discovery. Masters Teas is proud to offer you our fresh-from-the-field teas the moment they arrive. Each offering is a limited edition, small lot production.”
Update: I’ve completed the transition of this site to Beaver Builder. More updates will be coming soon, though the general design will remain the same. Changes are focused on easier navigation and additional page functionality.
March 7: As time permits I will be converting this site to a new WordPress platform. Please excuse any errors or oddities during this process!
