Artwork: Angel Aura Quartz Goddess Book of Shadows Page
Crystal: Angel Aura
Incense: Forest Mist
Magickal Anointing Oil: Expansion
Mini Spell Candle: Clarity and Vitality
Pendant: Angel Aura Quartz with Pink Tourmaline
Other Items: Pendant Cord

My Thoughts
July’s Witches Bounty is one of my favorite curations to date. Angel Aura Quartz Goddess is the featured Book of Shadows Page and the artwork is divine. I love the background on the page, and while I typically do not resonate with angels, the goddess is beautifully rendered.

The crisp white intention-setting spell candle, for clarity and vitality, is dressed with a light dusting of glitter. The clean and pure energy is most welcome, in contrast to the Forest Mist incense, which has an overwhelming, cologne-like aroma that I do not care for.

Expansion magickal anointing oil has been prepared with rose, rosemary, and ylang ylang oils, with inclusions of rose, rosemary, mugwort, and a Lemurian quartz. Celestial Being magickal anointing oil from the Witches Moon’s personal cabinet of witchery has also been added. Expansion has an earthy, yet sweet, powdery aroma.

This month’s sublime centerpiece is an angel aura quartz pendant with pink tourmaline. My pendant is a mesmerizing spiderweb of swirling rainbows and reflections. I am truly awestruck at the beauty of this hefty jewel. The sterling silver setting has a pink tourmaline set into the bail and scrollwork on the back side.

A matching angel aura quartz crystal is included in The Open Gate’s offerings. My specimen is rather small, but lovely nonetheless.

Angel aura quartz is a gorgeous stone, and this pendant did not disappoint, which makes it even harder to say that the July box will be my last Witches Bounty. I have enjoyed receiving these pendants, and reviewing them, but cancer is not cheap and I have quite a few bills to pay. Thank you, The Witches Bounty, for an amazing 11 months of sacred adornments!

The Witches Bounty is a monthly subscription containing high-quality metaphysical jewelry. The current US price is $78 a month, including shipping.

The Witches Bounty June 2019 – Golden Attraction

Artwork: Golden Druzy Goddess Book of Shadows Page
Crystal: Citrine Point
Incense: Nag Champa
Magickal Anointing Oil: Sun’s Eye
Mini Spell Candle: Pot of Gold
Pendant: 24k Gold Plated Desert Druzy
Other Items: Pendant Cord

My Thoughts
Golden Attraction, the June 2019 Witches Bounty, is a delightful surprise. I was not sure what to expect when I read that the pendant was a golden desert druzy, but The Witches Bounty far exceeded my hopes!

The Golden Druzy Goddess Book of Shadows page is one of my favorites. The Goddess is calm, cool, and collected – absolutely divine. A general date has been added to the artwork, and the month and year have been added to the information page. Thank you!

I received an extra copy of the Golden Druzy Goddess Book of Shadows page and would like to give it away. The first person to contact me wins this extra copy (please let me know that you are contacting me about the artwork giveaway). Sorry, but I must limit this to the United States only. The artwork will ship via USPS with the original backer board and clear overwrap. Please note that this is a gift and is not meant to be resold.

The Pot of Gold mini spell candle is a feast for the eyes. Rolled with jade green beeswax and dressed in an abundance of gold glitter, this candle is stunning and reminds me of jade drenched in golden honeycomb. There’s an idea for a pendant!

Sun’s Eye, June’s magickal anointing oil, has a base of sunflower oil blended with oils of chamomile, sweet orange, and tangerine. Also included is Acta Non Verba magickal oil from the Witches Moon’s personal cabinet of witchery. Gold flakes, lemongrass, lemon peel, and a Lemurian quartz float captivatingly in the glass bottle. Sun’s Eye has a crisp, citrusy aroma with a hint of a fragrance I cannot quite identify.

Nag Champa incense is featured this month. It has a delicate, yet exquisite, flora fragrance with a subtle spicy undertone. Nag Champa reminds me of the special little soaps my mother would give us for the holidays – happy memories!

My pictures don’t do the citrine point justice – there is a fire within that I cannot properly capture on camera. This specimen might be small, but it is high-quality and I love it. Upon reviewing the images below the citrine looks like a crystalline candy corn!

The 24k gold plated desert druzy pendant is, as I stated earlier, a pleasant surprise for me. A beautiful velvety shimmer coats the surface and sparkles enchantingly in the light. Depending on the angle of view, the colors range from soft mustard to glittering gold. The pendant is set in sterling silver and has lovely scrollwork on the back.

June’s box delivered a bounty of bling and I cannot wait to see what has been curated for July!

The Witches Bounty May 2019 – The Faeries Nest

Artwork: Rose Quartz Faerie Book of Shadows Page
Crystal: Cherry Quartz
Incense: Floral Essence
Magickal Anointing Oil: Divine Blossom
Mini Spell Candle: The Faeries Flame
Pendant: Rose Quartz
Other Items: Pendant Cord

My Thoughts
The Witches Bounty May 2019, The Faeries Nest, is a transcendent bouquet for the senses – a medley of floral aromas, polished gemstones, and dreamy colors. The Book of Shadows page, Rose Quartz Faerie, visualizes this theme perfectly with shades of ethereal pastels.

May’s incense, Floral Essence, has a strong aroma of roses and other flora with an undertone of a fragrance I cannot quite place, but do not like.

Similar in scent to the incense, the mini spell candle is gemmy pink and unadorned.

Divine Blossom magickal anointing oil is blended with gardenia, jasmine, lily, orchid, and violet essences, with the addition of Inner Power magickal oil from the Witches Moon’s personal cabinet of witchery. Floating in the bottle are lovely bits of calendula, jasmine, lavender, and rose, along with a Lemurian quartz. Divine Blossom has a strong, yet pleasant, floral balminess.

My favorite item this month is the cherry quartz crystal, a type of quartz with lithium, muscovite or lepidolite inclusions. My specimen appears to contain muscovite due to the silvery sparkle it emits. This stone is absolutely gorgeous!

The Faeries Nest pendant features a milky rose quartz stone encompassed by a nest of sterling silver branches with a matching bail. The detail of the bright silver setting is exquisite, though I will likely allow it to develop a patina over time.

One change I would like to see going forward is the addition of the date on the information pages and artwork for all three variations of the Witches Moon boxes.

Next month’s themes have not been released as of this posting but I am really looking forward to the June box to celebrate my birthday!

The Witches Bounty April 2019 – Path of Transcendence

Artwork: Prehnite Goddess Book of Shadows Page
Crystal: Fluorite
Incense: Alleviation
Magickal Anointing Oil: Transcend
Mini Spell Candle: Silent Sound
Pendant: Rough Prehnite with Emerald Inlay
Other Items: Pendant Cord

My Thoughts
Path of Transcendence, the April 2019 Witches Bounty, has come to me at the most opportune time. I am on my own path to healing and transcendence after almost two years of battling a rare blood disorder and a highly aggressive cancer. I typically do not like to insert such personal information into a review but I feel it is quite relevant in this situation. Sometimes the Universe does give back to us.

Prehnite Goddess, the featured Book of Shadows page, is peacefully beautiful and includes information about the mineral.

April’s anointing oil is Transcend. This refreshing concoction contains lavender, ylang ylang, and cardamom, with the addition of Caduceus’ magickal oil from the Witches Moon’s personal cabinet of witchery. After anointing myself I feel clearheaded, but I am unsure if I appreciate the lavender undertones.

I’ve come to cherish the mini spell candles. Silent Sound is a captivating prehnite green and has been rolled in eucalyptus with glitter added. I could do without the glitter but it is pretty nevertheless.

And now for my regularly scheduled incense rant. While I do like the fragrance of Alleviation, it is still too strong for me and I will not burn it.

A fluorite octahedron is the crystal for April and I appreciate receiving something a bit out of the ordinary shape-wise. My piece is predominately clear with a band of lavender running through the center, but changes from crystal clear, to purple, to banded depending on the viewing angle. I’ve stated previously that I adore fluorite so this new crystal is a welcomed addition to my collection.

Have I ever mentioned that green is my favorite color, especially pastel shades? Path of Transcendence’s pendant is rough prehnite with an emerald inlay. There is no better combination to satisfy my “greenness”. This pendant is an excellent example of rough prehnite with subtle botryoidal nodules. The sterling silver setting is imprinted with a botanical design and has a small emerald inlaid on the bail.

The Witches Bounty really stepped it up by offering a unique prehnite pendant for April. After the letdown of the past two boxes I feel this subscription is again worth its asking price.

Artwork: Sumatran Blue Amber Goddess Book of Shadows Page
Crystal: Petrified Wood Slice
Magickal Anointing Oil: Patience
Mini Spell Candle: Warmth
Pendant: Sumatra Amber
Other Items: Meditation Resin with Charcoal Disk (disk not pictured), Pendant Cord

My Thoughts
The September 2018 Witches Bounty, The Gentle Light, is the first box of my new subscription. Each monthly box includes a pendant, crystal, and anointing oil, with other items added occasionally. Based on YouTube reviews it seems a mini spell candle has become standard and a soft neck cord always accompanies the pendant. September’s bundle includes a stunning Art Nouveau print – the Sumatran Blue Amber Goddess Book of Shadows page – as well as a meditation resin with charcoal disk.

The anointing oil has delicious notes of fall spices with a subtle sweetness and is nicely grounded by a comforting woodsy undertone. This ambrosial blend contains cedarwood, cinnamon, clove, and a special mixture of Earth magickal oil from the Witches Moon’s personal cabinet of witchery. Paring nicely with the anointing oil, the serene pink mini spell candle is dressed with a clove bud, elderflower, and marigold. A meditation resin with charcoal disk rounds out this aromatic trifecta with a glass cornucopia of fragrant resins perfect for celebrating autumn.

Petrified wood is one of my favorite organic stones and the slice I received is no exception. The edges of my specimen have nicely preserved bark details and the core is a lovely rustic cream color with a faint ring pattern. Keeping with the organic theme of The Gentle Light, the centerpiece of the September box is a Sumatra amber pendant. This glowing teardrop jewel is set with a sterling silver bail and is the embodiment of warmth and autumnal light – a perfect echo of Earth’s past.

I am truly amazed at this month’s collection. Each item is gorgeous and I feel nourished to my very soul during this time of changing seasons and reflection. I look forward to receiving and reviewing the October Witches Bounty!
