Happy 2021 (and yet again, I am still not dead)

Good riddance 2020. It is an extreme understatement to say that 2020 did not work out as intended. I had big dreams and a multitude of creative endeavors to undertake, but alas, all I could do was tread water.

So, good fucking riddance to all the bullshit of 2020!

For 2021 I am making a slight career change to focus more on creative projects and sharpening my technical skills. Also on the list: a shop to sell my art, jewelry, and excess mineral specimens.

Unfortunately, my health is still questionable. I’ve been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and I am ANA positive. This year we will begin the process all over again of trying to pinpoint exactly which autoimmune disease(s) I have. My rheumatologist has placed me on Methotrexate and we will see if that is effective when I return to her in March.

Time to get to work on all the good things I have planned!

My Thoughts
Images coming soon…

The theme for March’s Witches Moon box is Ascended Guides – Book of Shadows Edition. Three nicely detailed pieces of artwork are included: Ascended Guides, Book of Shadows Inside Cover, and Dedication Book of Shadows pages.

My personalized oracle reading is the Sanat Kumara (light activation) card. I don’t resonate with this card and feel a strong repulsion towards it. Interesting!

A handmade Book of Shadows with flower pressed paper is, appropriately, the featured item this month. The front cover is embossed with winged serpents and the Sacred Oak adorns the back cover. I have to confess that I am always hesitant to start a permanent Book of Shadows, but I think I will go ahead and take a leap of faith with this offering. Instead of using glue on the artwork I plan to use photo corners. Baby steps!

The Token of Wisdom spell candle is crafted from luscious purple beeswax and is enchanted with Spirit Guide magickal anointing oil from the Witches Moon’s personal cabinet of witchery. A matching spell incantation was placed in the box with the paperwork. An extra bonus this month is the inclusion of a spiked brass candle holder.

March’s herbs are dandelion leaf and peppermint leaf. Both herbs make excellent teas!

Speaking of tea, this month’s box includes an aromatic infusion – Jupiter. This blend has a base of green tea, with rose petals, rosemary, safflower, and sage.

The magickal anointing oil, Ascended Masters, has been prepared with chamomile, frankincense, lemongrass, and rosemary oils, with bits of blue cornflower, lemongrass, mugwort, and a Lemurian quartz included in the mixture. Wise Council magickal anointing oil from the Witches Moon’s personal cabinet of witchery has also been added.

Lady of the Lake, March’s sacred salt, has been infused with avocado, basil, eucalyptus, rosemary, and spearmint oils, along with Cerridwen magickal oil from the Witches Moon’s personal cabinet of witchery. Blackberry leaf, eleuthero root, eucalyptus, lemon balm, linden, rosemary, spearmint, and wood betony have been sprinkled amongst the salt crystals, adding to the lovely, complex aroma.

Delightfully, the Nag Champa incense has a pleasant, nostalgic scent. Though I will not burn it, I do enjoy laying a piece on my altar.

This is the second month in a row that a crystal was not included and I hope this is not a permanent trend!

March’s box did not disappoint and I look forward to using the Book of Shadows and artwork.

The Witches Moon is a monthly subscription containing high-quality spiritual items crafted around the seasons. The current US price is $54 a month, including shipping.
